Peter Nabutanyi

Current post-doc

Peter is a PhD graduate in Theoretical Biology from Bielefeld University, Germany. Currently, he is a German Research Foundation (DFG) funded research fellow under the Walter Benjamin research fellowship grant. He is generally interested in modelling ecological and evolutionary processes and their interactions in shaping population dynamics. In particular, he has a special interest in small (or threatened) populations, species interactions, and mechanisms of adaptation. His current focus is on understanding how multiple mechanisms of adaptation, such as habitat choice, habitat construction, plasticity, and genetic differentiation, evolve and interact in species living in spatially heterogeneous and temporally changing environments.
